Selous Impala Camp

Selous Impala Camp - Tanzania

Selous Impala Camp is situated on the Rufiji River in the north of the Selous Game Reserve, at a congregation point for the large number of animals and birds that call this area home. Relax into the wilderness, and let us show you what makes Selous one of the world's most spectacular Safari destinations.

Placed on elegently crafted platforms of localy sourced timber, you are raised off the ground to enhance your view of your surroundings. Of the eight luxry tents, two are family tents, each with two tents on one platform, allowing your family and friends to share in the experience, but still have privacy when desired. All tents look over the Rufiji River so you can quietly immerse yourself in the busy life of the river's inhabitants.

Each of the beautiful tents at impala has been designed to maximize comfort, while keeping in harmony with the nature around you. Each tent has its own unique view of the Rufiji River, making this the perfect spot to sit and reflect during your time between activities. The interiors have polished wood flooring and have been lovingly furnished with all you will need to make you comfortable and feel at home.

Safari Destinations

Zanzibar Beach

Just like Tanzania, Zanzibar is three hours in the advance of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+3). It doesn't operate daylight saving time, and consequently there's no time difference between Zanzibar's summer and winter months.

Discover Uganda

Uganda is a truly “authentic” safari destination - definitely less sophisticated than Tanzania or Kenya in terms of infrastructure and not in the same “big game” league, but equally untouched and as genuine as Africa gets.
Uganda’s gorillas, chimps, birds and the wider range of special-interest attractions (from butterflies to orchids) makes it a perfect match for first timers and seasoned African visitors alike.

Visit Tanzania

Tanzania home to Africa's most dramatic and famous features.  Fantastic wildlife, stunning scenery and idyllic beaches Tanzania is virtually unrivalled in terms of wildlife population and diversity. From the biggest African plains, the Serengeti, to the highest African mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro, to the deepest African Lake Tanganyika.
Pemba offers classic tropical beaches to those wanting to get away from the crowds, whilst the Selous Game Reserve never disappoints those looking for lion and elephant!
