Rufiji River Lodge - Selous Game Reserve

Rufiji River Lodge is owned and operated by the prestigious Fox Family, owners of the Ruaha River Lodge, Katavi Wildlife camp and many others. The camp itself is in a lovely location with scenic views of the Rufiji River, but it needs money spent on it. They were going to refurbish it, but have never got round to it, and until it begins to tidy up around the edges, it doesn’t remain as good value as some of it neighbours.

Being right on the river the camp boasts a lovely boating experience pretty much straight from the verandah of your tent. The walks are a must if you feel brave enough, but never underestimate the game drives with their experienced guides when you can cover much more ground and get to the better game areas…one thing about this camp is the best areas are a drive away.
