The Swahili House
The Swahili House Zanzibar
The Swahili House first opened its doors in June 2009. It is located in the bustling heart of Stone Town with traditional Swahili influences and authentic hospitality combined with modern day facilities.
The Swahili house was originally set up and used as an Indian merchant house in the 19th century. In the 125 years that followed the building became a home to one of the many sultan families that inhabited Zanzibar.
Most of the hotel has been restored into its original state, which makes your stay at the Swahili house a real Zanzibari experience!
Aiming to be a high quality boutique hotel, it is the sister property to Fumba Beach Lodge and built to a similar standard.
