Tassia Lodge

Tassia Lodge - Kenya

Tassia Lodge is a unique, rustic and natural-feeling lodge, quite unlike any others in the region. Set on a rocky outcrop on the spiur of an escarpment in the 243km2 Lekurruki Community Ranch, Tassia is a partnership between its managers and the local Mokogodo Maasai community.

All rooms are en suite with their own shower and loo with extraordinary views out to the surrounding bush. It isn’t every day you can watch elephants while enjoying a refreshing shower! The rooms can also be adapted for families, couples and single travelers.
The side of the room facing the view is completely open, giving an unobstructed view of the wilderness and wildlife below. Lying in bed with that view laid out in front of you, to watch the sunrise rise or the millions of stars that fill the sky at night is very special.

Other features of the lodge include a horizon swimming pool with a sunbathing deck, dining room, bar, chill out and deck area and roof top platform. Meals are served communally dotted around the lodge. One evening you might find yourself dining under the stars sitting on comfortable cushions on the roof, the next on a wooden deck by the swimming pool with rock hyrax playing on the boulders below. Romantic private dinners can also be arranged.

Safari Destinations

Zanzibar Beach

Just like Tanzania, Zanzibar is three hours in the advance of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+3). It doesn't operate daylight saving time, and consequently there's no time difference between Zanzibar's summer and winter months.

Discover Uganda

Uganda is a truly “authentic” safari destination - definitely less sophisticated than Tanzania or Kenya in terms of infrastructure and not in the same “big game” league, but equally untouched and as genuine as Africa gets.
Uganda’s gorillas, chimps, birds and the wider range of special-interest attractions (from butterflies to orchids) makes it a perfect match for first timers and seasoned African visitors alike.

Visit Tanzania

Tanzania home to Africa's most dramatic and famous features.  Fantastic wildlife, stunning scenery and idyllic beaches Tanzania is virtually unrivalled in terms of wildlife population and diversity. From the biggest African plains, the Serengeti, to the highest African mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro, to the deepest African Lake Tanganyika.
Pemba offers classic tropical beaches to those wanting to get away from the crowds, whilst the Selous Game Reserve never disappoints those looking for lion and elephant!
